I recently attended an event hosted by Aries celebrity blogger extraordinaire and the self-proclaimed “Queen of all Media” Perez Hilton at the Wiltern Theatre in L.A. Boy does he have a big head! Aries are known for their prominent domes but this guy is almost all head. I felt like going up to him to politely ask, okay, beg, “Can I have at least a quarter of your page views??”
I kinda wish I had general admission access instead of VIP. Here’s why: the open Belvedere vodka bar. Now I try not to drink as much anymore but if I do vodka is the beverage of choice. Or a Fernet Branca if I’m feeling like a quick pep up on my palette. Ack!! A friend of mine kept feeding me the stuff! The music was great (only I wish I remember who it was that performed) and the people were awesome to chat up while we were in the VIP section because it wasn’t as noisy as the main floor.
Well, I met a couple of interesting people, including Angie Meyer, a writer/producer for Fox News Channel; we talked O’Reilly and politics. I also met some dude whose positive energy was so palpable that it compelled me to ask, “Are you a Sagittarius?”, to which he replied, “Yes, how did you know?” I explained that I’m an astrology blogger and that I just took a guess. Turns out in addition to working with middle school kids as a 7th grade teacher, he also does something called ThetaHealing. Has anyone ever heard of this or tried it? If so, what were the results?
At any rate, it was fun but the night was a total blur, as this sign attests.
