We honor, salute and memorialize the message of hope, love and resolve of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. You really ought to check out the PBS documentary series “Eyes on the Prize” — it is absolutely riveting! It takes you back to a time when the struggle was real and the solutions were hard fought.
Dr. King was a revolutionary visionary and he was a marvelous speaker who could move mountains with his words and his calls to action. You could feel his words and the depth of emotion running through you. The injustices in the U.S. during the 1950s and 1960s are on full display in the fantastic PBS documentary. Watch it on YouTube!
Dr. King was a Capricorn and his moon and Venus were in Pisces. He embodied the universal spirit of love and how love can transcend all boundaries and remove all barriers of hate. His Mercury in Aquarius enabled him to communicate in ways that reached the masses and with ideas that were considered revolutionary at the time. His Capricorn sun allowed him to put practical effort into making the Civil Rights era one of triumphant struggle. His eloquence, grace and his sheer compassion are what we remember most about Rev. King.
May we learn something from that time. Right now, the U.S. is dealing with a tumultuous era of division and hate. We must not embrace the madness. We must reach within ourselves and find the basic love that is in all of us. We must do what we can do ensure the well being of our beautiful planet and of its beautiful residents, every man, woman, child, animal, insect, fish, bird, creature of the Earth. We’re all in this together. United we stand. Divided we fall.
