When the world is truly generous and giving, somehow we get blessed, gifted, gratified and taken care of. Why? Simple. Because that’s when we’re doing what should be (and is) instinctual to us: mimicking the giving, generous quality of Mother Earth.
Generosity and kindness are two of the purest forms of light. Conversely, when we become errant and go the other way — when huge corporations, banks and oil companies masquerade as people and hoard and get greedy — that’s when we start to see massive problems such as inequality and a certain shortsightedness that comes from a need for instant gratification and self-indulgence. What if reincarnation is right? Why not leave the world a better place for our children, grandchildren and maybe even for ourselves in the next two or three lifetimes? Make sense? Sure, it does. Instead of investing so heavily on wars, fear and paranoia, why not invest in people, just as FDR did after the Great Depression? Aren’t WE worth it?
