The luminary known as “Mister Starwavez” got a peculiar start in the world of astrology. As a youngster, he never really understood himself. Going through the typical angst and awkwardness of youth, he lacked understanding and self-confidence. In order for self-confidence to come, a certain level of self self-awareness and understanding must ensue. So, “Mister Starwavez” turned inward, and would write and absorb as much information as he could. He read books by Linda Goodman, the famed astrology writer from the 20th century. An Aries, Linda was known for being very forthright and direct, and didn’t write too much “astro-babble,” instead writing in relatable ways that were also easy to understand and digest. She was, in many ways, the layman’s astrologer, and she did it to great effect.
Self-awareness came through astrology. As did understanding and a certain compassion and an awareness for others.
After studying communications and journalism in college, “Mister Starwavez” joined the entertainment industry in research & marketing, he worked at the United Paramount Network, and at Fox Broadcasting Company, and he also worked for Nielsen Co., Sony Pictures Television, and he did national and local TV ratings for the National Football League, focus group testing for new TV show pilots, and TV ratings distribution and streaming audience measurement for Disney. He also worked in human resources for CBS-TV and in worldwide tech ops at Paramount Pictures movie studio. A little before the global pandemic, “Mister Starwavez,” having dealt with a slew of consolidation and layoffs in the entertainment industry, decided to segue into the wonderful world of hospitality. A genuine “people person,” he took a job as front desk person and later, as Manager-on-duty of a small, charming, quaint, family-owned boutique hotel in Southern California. He fell in love with the owners, a sweet, darling couple, Eddie, a Cancerian masonry worker by trade, and his wife Coralie, a Pisces innkeeper who was sweet as sugar, and their son Victor, a business-savvy Capricorn who ran the hotel in a high tech fashion, embracing new technology. Following the pandemic, “Mister Starwavez” then went to work for Manhattan-based Atelier Ace and its artsy, chic, vinyl-record-album-player toting Ace Hotel Group. He most recently works freelance as a research & marketing guru, a public relations pro, a copywriter, and as a proofreader. He assists clients worldwide.
All the while, his first love is astrology and stargazing. He learned a lot under the tutelage of Susan Miller, famed astrologer known for her wildly popular Astrology Zone website and its companion app. They first met years ago when Susan was doing a presentation at the Apple Store in the Grove in L.A.
